Are you pregnant or a new parent? Are you aged 14-21? Do you live in the Dacorum or St Albans district? If so this Young Parents Project at Hemel Hempstead Young People’s Centre is for you! It is completely free and will help you manage the challenges of being a parent, support you with developing valuable skills and qualities for planning your future, and also being the best possible parent you can be.
This Services for Young People project for young parents is a great opportunity for you to meet other young parents like you. It offers support, advice and guidance to young parents and parents-to-be up to the age of 21.
You will gain valuable employability and life skills as well as confidence to progress into the next stage of your life. Our friendly youth workers will cover topics such as parenting awareness, confidence building, employability, finance and budgeting, and emotional wellbeing and mental health.
You will receive support to gain a qualification which will enable you to progress to further education, training or employment. The programme will also help you grow in confidence and cope with new challenges as a parent.
Hemel Hempstead Young People’s Centre is fullly wheelchair accessible.
