Services for Young People Shine Project for Young People with Learning Disabilities at 96 Shenley Road, Borehamwood

Shine is a Services for Young People youth project at 96 Shenley Road for young people aged 13-17 with learning disabilities and/or Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It takes place on Thursday evenings from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. You'll get to spend time with other young people in a safe and relaxing environment. The project is run by professionally trained and supportive youth workers from Services for Young People's Hertsmere Team. You'll also get the chance to develop new interests, participate in fun activities and learn new life skills.
At the Services for Young People Shine Project for Young People with Learning Disabilities you can have a go at lots of activities including:
- table tennis
- arts & crafts
- local trips out
- beauty sessions
- board games
... and much more.
We have access to the reception area, the large hall and the state-of-the-art kitchen.
The staff at this project have specific training to work with young people on the autistic spectrum and/or with epilepsy. They are trained in epilepsy awareness and Epi Pen trained. There is a wheelchair accessible computer.
