The Services for Young People NSPCC Neglect Matters Partnership Project is an opportunity for young people in the Watford area to take part in the NSPCC's Neglect Matters campaign. We are looking for young people to help raise awareness of the issue of child neglect in Hertfordshire. Join us to have your say!

The NSPCC Neglect Matters campaign aims to raise awareness of child neglect and its impact among children and young people, parents/carers, professionals who work with children and young people, and the wider community.

The campaign helps people to understand:

• What neglect is
• What acceptable standards of care for children and young people are
• How to recognise neglect (signs and symptoms)
• The consequences of neglect
• Where children, young people, parents/carers, professionals can go for help and advice

The NSPCC Neglect Matters Partnership Project is run by Services for Young People in partnership with the NSPCC and aims to help the campaign reach young people across Watford and Hertfordshire.

Join the project and you will have the chance to get involved in designing resources to help young people understand what neglect is and help decide the most effective ways of sharing information that will prevent it from happening. The resources will also help schools and other professionals working with children and their families to better support young people. 

While the campaign covers difficult subjects, we hope that the Neglect Matters Partnership Project will be a fun place for you to come to get together with other young people to make a difference on an important issue.
