The YC Hertfordshire Breakout Project is for young people aged 13-17 with mild to moderate learning disabilities. It's a place where you can make friends, learn new skills, relax and have fun.
The YC Hertfordshire Breakout Project for Young People with Learning Disabilities takes place at Hatfield Young People’s Centre every Thursday, 6-8pm.
It is a safe space where you can meet people and make friends. You'll also learn new skills to help you become more independent and maintain positive mental health, and you can take part in lots of fun activities such as:
- drama projects
- discussions and debates
- arts and crafts
The activities are designed around your needs and delivered by YC Hertfordshire youth workers who are experienced in working with young people with a variety of needs.
The YC Hertfordshire Breakout Project is located at Hatfield Young People's Centre, adjacent to Breaks Manor Youth Centre, in the centre of Hatfield within 10 minutes walking distance of the train station; it serves both Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield.
Hatfield Young People’s Centre is fully wheelchair accessible.
